Description

The Shining 3D EinScan H2 is a handheld 3D scanner that combines white LED structured light with invisible infrared VCSEL projection. It adds a 5 MP color camera, so it captures accurate geometry and realistic textures at the same time. Its wide field of view and adjustable working distance make it suitable for small objects, large objects, faces and full-body scans, in tight spaces or open areas.

Frequently asked questions

Does it capture colour?

Yes. It has a built-in 5 MP colour camera for photorealistic textures.

Can it scan dark or shiny objects and people?

The manufacturer states that the hybrid approach handles dark surfaces, the human body and brightly lit environments. The infrared VCSEL mode is intended for these cases.

How big can the scanned object be?

About 30 cm is recommended for best results. The maximum field of view is 420 x 440 mm in white light mode and 780 x 900 mm in infrared mode.

Is a turntable supported?

No. The EinScan H2 is a handheld-only scanner.

What computer do I need?

The minimum is Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel i7-8700, an NVIDIA GTX1060 with at least 4 GB of video memory and 16 GB of RAM. Windows 10 or 11 with an RTX2060 or better, an i7-11700 and 64 GB RAM is recommended.
