Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. General information

The websites www.irisrobotics.ro and www.irisrobotics.eu are operated by the same trader, SC IRIS ROBOTICS SRL, with registered office in Focșani, Vrancea County, registered with the Trade Register under no. J39/527/2017, CUI RO37714467, and a place of business at Strada Rândunica nr. 2, Iași, Romania, which sells robots, 3D printers, 3D scanners, software solutions and educational kits and provides technical support, servicing and training.

Both websites present the same offer, and these Terms and Conditions apply equally to orders placed on either of them.

By accessing and using this website, visitors are asked to carefully read the Terms and Conditions, the Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy before using this site.

2. Definitions

Buyer: any natural or legal person who places an order through the website.

Consumer: any individual who buys for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. An individual who buys for their professional activity, for example as a sole trader, is not a consumer.

Professional buyer (business): a legal entity, or an individual, who buys for the purposes of their trade, business, craft or profession.

Seller: SC IRIS ROBOTICS SRL, with registered office in Focșani, Vrancea County, and a place of business at Strada Rândunica nr. 2, Iași.

3. Contractual documents

The sales contract consists of these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the order confirmation and the tax invoice. By placing an order, the buyer agrees to the form of communication (email, telephone) through which IRIS Robotics conducts its commercial operations.

4. Subject matter of the sales contract

The subject matter of the contract is the sale of the products ordered on the website. Ownership of the products transfers at the moment the order reaches the client at the indicated address, together with settlement of the payment obligation and signing for receipt on the seller's document.

Delivery is carried out after the order is confirmed, depending on the payment method chosen. For card payments, delivery takes place after the payment processor confirms the payment. For bank transfers, delivery takes place after the payment is confirmed in our account. A representative of SC IRIS ROBOTICS SRL may contact you to confirm the order.

5. Online sales policy

Access to the website for the purpose of placing an order is permitted to any user. To complete an order, a user account must be created or the billing and delivery details must be filled in.

Users must ensure that all details provided are correct and use the website only for lawful purposes. Users are responsible for the security of their account and for keeping their information up to date. Any attempted unauthorised access will be treated as fraud and reported to the competent authorities.

6. Security of information

IRIS Robotics will not disclose any personal information about its clients to a third party, except where that information is necessary for the processing of an order.

7. Commercial communications

By providing an email address and telephone number during the order process, the client agrees to be contacted by IRIS Robotics regarding the status of the order.

8. Delivery, shipping and payment

Ordered products are delivered by courier or can be collected from the IRIS Robotics place of business in Iași. Shipping costs are shown when the order is finalised. Personal collection from Iași is free of charge.

All products sold are original and are delivered in appropriate packaging, accompanied by an invoice in accordance with the legislation in force.

The payment methods available are card (you are redirected to the secure payment page) and bank transfer (payment order).

For deliveries to other countries of the European Union, orders are currently placed on request. We tell you the shipping cost, the delivery time and the VAT that applies before the order is confirmed.

9. Warranty

For consumers, products sold benefit from the statutory warranty of conformity provided by the Romanian OUG no. 140/2021 on certain aspects of contracts for the sale of goods, for 24 months from delivery. For professional buyers, IRIS Robotics gives a commercial warranty of 12 months from delivery, under these Terms and Conditions. This warranty is an IRIS commercial condition, separate from the consumers' statutory warranty. The manufacturer's commercial warranty, where there is one, is shown on the product page and is added to the statutory warranty.

The warranty does not cover faults caused through the fault of the client, for example by improper use or unauthorised modifications.

Consumers in other Member States of the European Union keep the rights that the law of their country of residence grants them as mandatory.

10. Complaints and returns

The consumer can report a lack of conformity at any time during the statutory warranty period, at contact@irisrobotics.ro. There is no short notification deadline after the parcel is received.

Products that do not match the specifications on the website may be replaced or fully refunded, as provided by law. Products that arrive non-functional or damaged are repaired or replaced as provided by law, without limiting the consumer's rights.

Withdrawal from the contract (a return) can be notified at any time within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, from the customer account or by email, as set out in the Right of withdrawal section and on the Warranty and returns page.

The return shipping costs for defective or non-conforming products are borne by the seller. Pre-orders of standard products can be returned on the same terms as any other order. The exception to the right of withdrawal applies only to products made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalized.

For legal entities, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. Complaints about non-conformities visible on delivery must be made within 48 hours of receiving the product, and the IRIS commercial warranty is 12 months.

11. Service and repairs

IRIS Robotics services Pepper and Prusa printers itself. For other brands, IRIS Robotics takes the service request and passes it on to the manufacturer or to Clinica Roboților. For consumers, under the statutory warranty of conformity, repair or replacement is carried out within a reasonable time of no more than 15 calendar days from the day the consumer informed us of the lack of conformity. For professional buyers and for repairs outside the warranty, the turnaround time is 20 working days from when the product is received for servicing.

Where damage is caused by improper use, the client bears the shipping and service costs.

12. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with the Romanian emergency ordinance OUG 34/2014 (which transposes Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights), the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the product, without giving any reason and without penalty. The withdrawal statement can be sent at any time during this period, from the customer account with the “Withdraw from contract” button on the My orders page, or by email to contact@irisrobotics.ro. The product is sent back within 14 days of the day the withdrawal was communicated.

The refund is made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day IRIS Robotics was informed of the withdrawal. Unless it offered to collect the product itself, IRIS Robotics may withhold the refund until it receives the product or proof that it has been sent, whichever comes first. The consumer is liable only for any loss in the product's value caused by handling beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalized. Simply choosing among the standard options offered on the website does not exclude the right of withdrawal. You can find details on the Warranty and returns page.

13. Liability

IRIS Robotics is liable for performing the obligations it has undertaken by contract and by law. IRIS Robotics is not liable for damage caused by use of the products contrary to their instructions, by interruptions of the website that are not attributable to it, or by acts of third parties for which it is not responsible under the law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the liability of IRIS Robotics for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for death, personal injury or damage to health, or for defective products, nor any of the rights that the law grants to consumers, including the statutory warranty of conformity.

14. Force majeure

Neither party shall be liable for late performance and/or improper performance of the obligations undertaken where non-performance or improper performance was caused by force majeure.
