In case of any difference between the language versions, the English version prevails.
1. Identity of the controller
SC IRIS ROBOTICS SRL, with registered office in Focșani, Vrancea County, registered with the Trade Register under no. J39/527/2017, CUI RO37714467, and a place of business at Strada Rândunica nr. 2, Iași, Romania, processes your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
2. The data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Delivery and billing address
- Company information (for legal entities)
- Browsing data (cookies, IP address)
3. Purpose of processing
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
- Processing orders and delivering products
- Communicating about the status of orders
- Providing technical support and advice
- Sending newsletters (with your consent)
- Improving our services and the experience on the site
4. Legal basis
Data processing is based on: performance of the contract (order placement), your consent (newsletters, marketing cookies), legal obligations (invoicing, accounting) and legitimate interest (service improvement).
5. Retention period
Invoices and accounting records are kept for 10 years, as required by law. Quotes, quote requests and the contact details of prospective clients are kept for 3 years from the last contact. CVs received through the Careers page are kept for 12 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. After these periods the data is deleted or anonymized.

You have the following rights under the GDPR:
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to rectification of data
- The right to erasure of data
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object and the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the processing carried out before the withdrawal
- The right to lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP (the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing)
7. Data security
IRIS Robotics implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or destruction.
8. Site language
On your first visit we choose the language of the pages from the languages set in your browser and the country estimated from your IP address. The estimate is made on our own server, using IP2Location LITE data available from https://lite.ip2location.com, and neither the IP address nor the country is stored for this purpose. If you choose another language in the language menu, your choice is kept for one year in the iris-locale cookie. On irisrobotics.eu we use the same estimated country to suggest the delivery country used to show prices with that country's VAT. The country chosen in the "Deliver to" selector is kept for one year in the iris-tara-livrare cookie, and the "Business price" option in the iris-pret-firma cookie. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing the site in a language you understand and prices that are correct for your country.
9. Data sharing
Your data may be shared with: courier services (for delivery), payment processors (for online transactions) and public authorities (where required by law). The map on the contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap, a third-party service. We load it only after a click on “Show map”. At that moment the visitor’s IP address is sent to OpenStreetMap servers. Files uploaded to the quote calculator on the 3D printing services page are sent to SeekMake, the third-party provider of the calculator, which processes them to calculate the quote. If you allow statistics cookies, data about your visit is processed by the analytics providers Google Analytics (Google) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft).
