Description

The Bambu Lab H2D is a personal manufacturing platform built around an enclosed, dual-nozzle FDM 3D printer. It can also be extended with a laser module for engraving and cutting and with a cutting and plotting module, so one machine covers prototyping, finished parts and customized objects. It suits schools, universities, design studios, product teams and advanced makers.

Key features

  • Dual nozzle printing. Multi-material and multi-colour parts with a nozzle offset under 25 µm, calibrated automatically without tools.
  • Large build volume. It is 325 x 320 x 325 mm with one nozzle and up to 350 x 320 x 320 mm across both nozzles.
  • High speed and precision. The toolhead reaches 1000 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration, constant printing at 600 mm/s is possible, and the motion system has 50 µm accuracy with an optical encoder and active vibration compensation.
  • Heated chamber and hot hotend. The chamber heats up to 65 °C and the hotend to 350 °C. A hardened steel nozzle and extruder allow carbon fibre and glass fibre materials.
  • AI and sensors. Four cameras and 36 sensors monitor the machine, including 15 sensors on the AMS filament path. The DynaSense extruder detects grinding and clogging.
  • Laser option. 10 W and 40 W laser modules (455 nm) engrave and cut materials such as wood, rubber, leather, dark acrylic and stone, with the 40 W laser cutting up to 15 mm plywood. The standard model can be upgraded with the Laser Upgrade Kit.
  • Cutting and plotting. Digital cutting of paper, vinyl and leather, with a 300 x 285 mm cutting area.
  • Safety. Laser protection windows, door and flame sensors, closed-loop thermal control and Adaptive Airflow filtration.
  • AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT compatibility with integrated drying and RFID sync for Bambu materials.

Typical uses

  • Multi-colour and multi-material prototypes and display models
  • Functional parts in engineering materials and fibre-reinforced filaments
  • Laser engraving, cutting and plotting projects in design and education

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the available versions?

The versions differ in the automatic filament system. You can choose the H2D alone, the H2D AMS Combo, or the Combo with an additional AMS HT or AMS 2 Pro.

What is the build volume?

It is 325 x 320 x 325 mm with one nozzle, 300 x 320 x 320 mm with two nozzles and 350 x 320 x 320 mm in total across both nozzles.

Which materials can it print?

It prints PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, carbon fibre and glass fibre variants, PPA-CF/GF, PPS and PPS-CF/GF.

Does it include a laser?

The laser is part of the Laser Edition. The standard H2D can be upgraded with the Laser Upgrade Kit, with 10 W and 40 W laser modules.

Which slicers can I use?

Bambu Studio is the main software. Third-party slicers such as PrusaSlicer, SuperSlicer and Cura work through standard G-code, but advanced functions may not be available.
