Description

The Original Prusa SL1S is a fast, high-detail resin 3D printer from Prusa Research, supplied fully assembled. It uses MSLA technology with a 5.96 inch monochrome LCD at 2560 x 1620 pixels and a tilting build mechanism. Compared with the original SL1, it offers improved print quality, a 25% larger print area and exposure times as short as 1.4 seconds per layer. It suits schools, universities, design studios, dental labs (models and prototypes) and workshops that need accurate small parts. The equipment is not a medical device. Parts used on patients require materials and processes validated by the user under the applicable regulations.

Key features

Improved print quality. Reworked optics and a monochrome LCD give finer detail than the SL1.
Up to three times faster. The redesigned UV LED panel reaches 1.4 seconds exposure per layer with standard 405 nm resins. An object up to 150 mm tall can be printed in about three hours.
25% larger print volume than the SL1, with a motorised tilting bed that is twice as fast.
Solid construction. A rigid aluminium body reduces vibration, and a quick release platform keeps calibration when the print bed is removed.
Open resin ecosystem. The printer is open source and supports third-party 405 nm resins. The resin tank uses non-proprietary FEP films, which keeps running costs low.
PrusaSlicer support. The slicer includes factory-tested profiles for dozens of resins, hollowing and automatic support generation.
Connected and easy to set up. It has a touch screen with an on-screen setup wizard, network file upload, over-the-air firmware updates and a web browser interface.
Safety and comfort. A resin level sensor, a safety tub under the tilt mechanism, an LCD cooling system and a rear fan with a carbon filter to reduce odours.
