Description

Qtruck is a programmable educational robot from the Hiwonder micro:bit series, designed as a complete platform for practical learning of programming and robotics. Micro:bit is the central controller, and the tracked chassis and metal structure make it stable and resistant for repetitive activities in the classroom, club or at home. Basically, students write code, press Run, and the robot actually moves, follows lines, avoids obstacles and manipulates objects.

What makes it useful in a STEM lab

Qtruck combines in a single kit the essential elements for real projects: locomotive on tracks, robotic arm and sensors for interaction with the environment. This means that you can quickly move from simple exercises to complex scenarios, without changing the platform.

Key functionalities

Programming with micro:bit: suitable for initiation and progress, with an emphasis on logic, algorithms and hardware control, including block programming and moving to more advanced concepts.
3DOF robotic arm: arm with 3 degrees of freedom for horizontal and vertical movements, useful for gripping, lifting and transporting objects in pick and place mini-scenarios.
Track chassis with metal structure: robust platform, with high torque DC motor, suitable for stable movement on various surfaces and for activities with mechanical load.
Sensors for navigation and safety: includes ultrasonic sensor distance measurement and obstacle avoidance capabilities, plus route tracking with 4-channel line follower for line projects following.
Anti-blocking servo: helps protect the mechanism in situations of blocking or collision, which increases reliability in intensive use.
Flexible control: control via phone application and Handlebit remote control, so the robot can be used both for quick demonstrations and for programming exercises.
Extensions and creativity: it has attachment points compatible with LEGO pieces and support for expansion with modules and sensors, which turns it into a modular platform for custom projects.
